The BEE Commission is having their annual conference on Thursday, 15 March 2018 at Gallagher Estate. The theme, Improving State Procurement for Real Empowerment” is a critical one at this point in the country’s transformation progress. As Government and State-owned entities have the largest spend budget and policy decision-making authority, it is imperative that these organisations catalyse and implement the principles of black economic empowerment. Historically, many such entities have not themselves been verified on the BBBEE scorecard and we look forward to a renewed commitment to action and assessment on their contribution to this important cause.
